ABSTRACT: This study assessed the Benefits of Early Childhood Education on Conflict Resolution Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) assess the benefits of early childhood education (ECE) programs in promoting conflict resolution skills among young children, (2) examine the effectiveness of peace education activities in teaching mediation and negotiation skills, and (3) determine the long-term impacts of conflict resolution education on social relationships and community harmony. A survey research design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with conflict resolution education in ECE settings. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and community leaders, was selected using purposive sampling to include diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Plateau State, Nigeria. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers known for their proactive approaches to teaching peaceful conflict resolution strategies. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly improved children's conflict resolution skills, enhancing peer relationships and reducing instances of aggression. It is recommended that early childhood education centers continue to prioritize conflict resolution education, train educators in mediation techniques, and collaborate with families and community stakeholders to create peaceful learning environments.
